The Sensory Screen & Insect Net fits easily over the Sun Hood with elasticated straps to attach it securely at the handles plus eyelets to attach at the side in the same way as a Rain Cover.
Made from a durable stain resistant polyester mesh, it delivers a good balance between obscuring vision into the seat to provide some privacy while maintaining the childs ability to see out.
For some hypersensitive children who suffer from sensory overload in crowded places it can help to create a 'safe space', to escape from overwhelming stimuli. Some children find comfort in an enclosed space, so it may help to reduce distress.
The hole size permits good ventilation but keeps most insects like bees, wasps and flies out. Midges can still get in.
NOTE: The Sensory Screen this cannot be fitted at the same time as the Rain Cover or Storm Cover.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a Sun Shade it does not provide any protection from UVA/UVB sunlight and the carer is responsible for ensuring that the child is adequately protected with clothing and skin barrier creams from potentially harmful exposure to sunlight. It is also necessary to check periodically that there is not a build up of heat inside the enclosed seat.
It may be logical to assume that the Sensory Screen may reduce glare from objects, e.g. reflected light from say the surface of water, but the product has not been tested or approved for that purpose.
